Mind and Life Institute
The Mind and Life Institute, established in 1987, is a non-profit organization whose goal is to build a scientific understanding of the mind in order to help reduce suffering, and to help humans flourish. They aim to do this through the promotion of interdisciplinary dialogue and integration between Western sciences and contemplative practices in a traditional scientific methodology.
Their website includes information on programs and events such as the Mind and Life Summer Research Institute, Dialogues with the Dalai Lama, and an International Symposium. Also included are links to resources such as the Mind and Life Magazine, books, videos, and a listing of career opportunities in the field.
