TeachSafeSchools.org is a website developed by the Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention and Treatment that is designed to help school personnel develop a supportive, safe and inviting learning environments in which students can thrive and be successful. The site provides evidence-based information and techniques to assist the school community in the prevention of school violence, and addresses topics such as improving school safety, nurturing an inviting school environment, fostering effective instructional strategies, developing educational leadership, psychological issues that impact learning and safety, and implementing effective interventions. Resources include checklists, program guides, a report card for principals, and PowerPoint presentations available to download.
