A Stuttering resource for children, teachers and parents: The International Stuttering Association
This link leads to a stuttering resource made available by the International Stuttering Association (ISA). Visitors to the site will find information that is broken down by audience (children, parents and teachers). For example, the section for children contains FAQs that kids who stutter often ask, as well as questions that they get asked frequently. The section for teachers contains a guide for teachers that provides comprehensive information on stuttering, including a list of Dos and Don’ts, information addressing common questions that teachers have regarding stuttering, an activity designed to help children who stutter to advocate for themselves and a checklist that teachers can use to determine disfluency. There is also a section that provides information on Teasing and Bullying, as well as links to additional resources related to stuttering.
