Tools, Models, and Assessments for Fostering School and Afterschool Environments
Program in Education, Afterschool, and Resiliency (PEAR) is a joint initiative between Harvard University and McLean Hospital whose aim is to create and foster school and afterschool settings where all young people can be successful. PEAR focuses on the whole child, and integrates research, theory, and practice for lasting connections between youth development, school reform, and mental health. PEAR presents programs for educators and others to improve learning environments, strengthen student-teacher relationships, and provide integrated academic and emotional support. It offers training in a variety of areas, including how to apply their models, interventions and assessment tools through offered professional development and coaching, as well as links to publications and other related resources.
